EVERY BEGINNING IS DIFFICULT

New beginnings...

The day had finally arrived. Nelly was getting her little daughter ready for her first day of school. Her first child, her beloved Sare, was going to school. As she braided her daughter's hair, Nelly thought to herself, "Time flies so fast." The navy blue and white school uniform, the white socks and new shoes, the beautiful hairpins in her blonde hair... She was excited as if she was going to go, not her daughter.

She said the same sentences again, this time out loud: “Time flies so fast. I didn’t even realize that you grew up. Everything happened so quickly. One moment, you were little, and then, suddenly, you were all grown up." Today, she was experiencing these feelings with her daughter. Memories of Sare's birth came flooding back; "How much I had struggled..."

Every beginning in life is difficult.

Back then, Nelly was still a young girl. She was sitting on a park bench near their house, leaning her head back and watching the sky. It was spring. The cold winter had passed, and the warmth of the sun was beginning to be felt. The branches of the biggest tree in the park stretched into her view. The barrenness of winter had gone, and it was budding as if preparing for the beauty of summer. Nelly thought that moment was like a rebirth. Like getting up again and moving forward after being exhausted. How strange it was, the earth’s ability to give... Bringing lush green leaves from dry, barren branches... Like a miracle. She wondered, was it hard for trees to become green again?

At that time, there were only two months left until the university exam. Nelly often went out for walks. Amidst all the stress, it was the only thing that helped her relax. She didn't prefer to listen to music while walking. She enjoyed listening to nature, the trees, the birds, the sound of water coming from the fountain, the voices of the ladies enjoying their coffee on the balcony, and even the voices in her head. She sighed. “At least I got faster at solving practice tests. Of course, I hadn't studied for years, and then last year I was suddenly overloaded. As the saying goes: 'The early bird catches the worm.' Look at the trees, do they ever delay budding?”

"Mom! You braided my hair too tight. It hurts!" Nelly was suddenly startled by her daughter's voice. She had drifted off into the past again. Smiling at her daughter, she said, "I'm sorry, my beautiful girl. Let me fix it." Once, she had been preparing herself for school, and now she was preparing her daughter for it. "She'll struggle too," she muttered to herself.

Every new beginning has its difficulties.

The amount of difficulty changes, but the difficulty itself does not. When you first start solving problems, you might lose a lot of time on just one question. However, over time, you can understand what it’s asking from just one word and solve it quickly. It's like when a child who doesn't know how to write. First, he only draws lines and then becomes able to write letters by connecting the lines. For example, when you first learn the multiplication table, it feels like you’ll never get it. But over time, through repetition, you master the knowledge and can do it with ease.

That's the key! Mastering the action. It takes patience to achieve this. When people start something new, they always face some difficulties. But those difficulties don’t last forever. Only for a while... Just like when we first begin sports, all our muscles ache, but then we can do the movements more easily. It's just like that...

“We will be patient,” Nelly said, smiling at her daughter.

“What is patience, Mom? What is patience for?”

“Patience, my beautiful girl, is the ability to increase our endurance against the difficulties we face for a while, to achieve good and favorable results. We will be patient too, for good outcomes. Even if we fall, we will learn how to get back up. Just as trees bloom flowers from dry branches in spring, even if we struggle for a while, we too will bloom together in the end. Of course, after that, we’ll bear fruit. Now, let’s not be late on the first day...”
