MAKE A WISH!

 

Nancy woke up with a smile on her face. She got up, opened the window and took a long breath of morning air as she gazed at the sky. Today, the sky seemed particularly beautiful to her. Today was Hıdrellez. She had not waited for this day with such excitement for years. Until a few days ago when she realized she had received more than she had wished for on that Hıdrellez five years ago.

It was five years ago, and she and her husband had been married for a year. She had tried to draw a small cradle and a baby on a piece of paper. At midnight, she went down to the garden and hid it under the rose tree. She and her husband Trevor had a happy marriage. The only thing they wanted was a little family member to join their happy home. She prayed for a long time that night. However, the next 2 years would be difficult for both of them.

After many tests, treatments, and various procedures, the doctor told them that the chances of having a child were very slim. Nancy did not accept this and continued to visit other doctors and try different methods. However, the results didn’t change.

People find it difficult not to accept reality, but to accept the opposite of their desires.

Nancy and Trevor accepted the situation after a while. They still wanted to be parents. They realized that because they had rejected the problem in the past 2 years, they had never thought "Is there another way?". When they accepted the situation, they realized that they did not need to look for a solution so far away. That day they went to the Child Protection Agency, and they felt more relieved than they had in the past two years. Their wishes had now turned into a decision and they were ready to act for a solution. After months of procedures, a phone call brought a celebration into their home. At the end of two years, they were reunited with their daughter Mary. Now, they were a big family of three.

Their wish had come true. Their daughter was three years old today and Trevor and Nancy were grateful for this gift life had given them. But life hadn't finished surprising them. A few months ago, Nancy had her suspicions and went to the doctor, only to find out that a new member was joining their family. They were both surprised and overjoyed. Nancy a few years ago could never have imagined today like this.

5 years later, at night, she again had a paper in her hand. She quietly passed by Mary's room. She went out into the garden near the rose trees. Her stomach was making it difficult for her to bend over. She had a happy family and didn't know what to wish for. All day she thought about what brought her this happiness. Neither the doctors she went to, nor all the methods she tried to find a solution... What brought it to her was that she was able to react in the right place. So this year, her only wish was this: To find a way, no matter what the circumstances.

Her hair had turned gray as she raised both of them. On a Sunday morning, while having breakfast, they came with a bunch of chrysanthemums and a few notes... Sister and brother come near and kissed their mother. Must have been busy, she had forgotten that it was Mother's Day. She hugged her daughters and had another little note to place in her memory book. She went to the rose bush and started to read. These mature sentences from the two young girls were attached to the note,

"In all moments of being stuck, life expects a stance from a person. When people face a problem, they look for a solution in the outside world. However, every problem is a test to raise a person. It is only when a person accepts the problem that they begin to find a solution. Thank you for truly raising us and finding the right solutions to our problems..."
