Jennifer and Chris's fights had gotten worse lately. Now they were fighting
because Jennifer was going out with her friends. She was wearing too much
make-up, and her outfit was not appropriate according to Chris. All of this
seemed meaningless to Jennifer.
When she returned home that night, she was unable to let him know that she returned safely. When she woke up in the morning, she had hundreds of messages and dozens of calls. Chris had gone crazy and said their relationship was over.
Weeks had passed and Jennifer still
couldn't forget what happened that night. She had been hospitalized after she
was exhausted from crying. She couldn't stand it anymore and kept sending
messages, wanting to talk to Chris. Chris didn't care at all. Even if Jennifer
did what he wanted he didn’t care anymore.
Months passed and Jennifer started to pull herself together. Then one day, when she least expected, she received a message from Chris. He wanted to meet with her and start the relationship again. Chris had just started to feel Jenifer's absence. Although it felt good to stay away at first, now he felt the pain that Jennifer had felt at first.
Jen stared at the message in
surprise. Because even though it was hard, she had gotten over the pain of breaking
up and months had passed. Now, there was someone else in her life. She ignored
the message and deleted it without even responding. After that, new messages
kept coming. Jennifer couldn't stand it anymore and called Chris and told him
that there was someone else in her life. When Chris heard this, he didn't know
what to do. While her absence was starting to weigh heavily already, now this
hit him harder. For him, the pain of separation was just beginning.
Jennifer was experiencing the excitement of her new relationship. Her relationship was going well and she hoped it would continue like this. However, after a short while, she started experiencing the same problems again. The problems she had with her ex, were now being experienced with someone else. Since she could not make sense of what she was experiencing, she blamed fate.
“Oh fate! I have bad luck. My mother gave birth to me without any luck.”
She used these sentences for every problem she encountered in life. It was easy to blame fate. She didn’t have faults; it was all destiny’s fault. Would a person never smile? Would a person always be unlucky? However, there was no such thing as chance or coincidence in life. People experienced the results of the causes they made.
She had problems that started when she was a child. These problems continued to increase every time. Then school life, then work life and her relationships... Couldn't a person achieve success in any of them? Instead of finding solutions, she blamed fate. Because then she didn't have problems to solve.
Her new relationship also ended with similar arguments.
When Jennifer left the relationship, she was very upset, but her sadness didn't last long. So why did Chris take his time to think about this afterward? Why did some people experience their emotions at that moment while others later? Now she was starting to think about it.
Some people were focused on the
future, some focused on the past. Some people experience pain immediately, some
later. But when a person does not solve their problems, these pains will be
constant in their life. The goal is to solve these problems. Otherwise, they
would repeat themselves. Every problem that we postpone and do not solve would
come to us in a bigger way.
Whatever is postponed grows, and whatever is brought forward becomes smaller.
Every problem in our lives awaits a solution. We must overcome our problems while they are small hills. We must overcome them because when those problems become huge mountains, they are harder to solve. When people are solution-oriented, they produce solutions. As a result, they become happier. They see that they can achieve something and that they have small problems. Every problem we cannot overcome is actually caused by the solutions we postpone.
Everything is related to everything
else.
Our childhood, our
school life, our business life, our relationships. Everything in life is
connected to each other with a cause-and-effect relationship. Therefore,
solving one problem makes solving another easier. In this way, it is necessary
not to postpone it, but to focus on the solution immediately. Otherwise, it is
not possible to get out of that complicated cycle. Then one says, "Oh
fate! Oh bad luck!"
